I am working on gears right now. I have a variety and I want to create some kind of Trailer motion graphic using these for Dr. Clockheart.

R4 teaser trailer #1

This is the first rough of the teaser trailer for R4. I plan on rewroking this now that I have something to work with. I distilled it down to some simple flashing lights, white wash transitions, 3D text and some simple sounds. I am not sure what date to add so I did the standard "this summer' Text.
It's a start. I think I will reorder things a bit and have it start with something like...
"Only from the mind of Graphateer", "coming this summer" or "Coming '09"
I also want to add the website and any other identifiers that are needed.
Anyway please tell me what you think and what else you would like it to say. I need to know what the dates or plans are for this..

This is the original treatment to the "R" letter. I really liked the level of detail i was able to get into the surfaces. The paint looks thick and flaking.
The "4" has no texture on it in this image.

I really like this one. Its got a great look and feel. It reminds me of Iron man. I think it's my best work so far. My next move is to work on the lighting around the text. I will bring back the blue light to give it an atmospheric look. Like in the other examples.

Saucers on Moon images

I worked last night on ideas for the saucer on the moon. I created a moon model and imported the earth model I had. I tried to work with a sun and earth and moon idea. I also came up with the idea of the saucers watching over the earth like vultures or birds of prey from the moon. I liked the way the idea came out..

Suit model body form

Body form progression. Its a little too real and not enough of a blocky suit.. Refinements coming.

I am still trying to figure out the best way to do hand spheres and feet..

I am not sure if i should model in the suit to the body or have seperate objects for the knee pads elbow pads etc. My concerns are how they would deform when bent and or how to keep it all together and move accurately. Right now accessories are seperate objects.

Successful Saucer rig and animation test

I was able to get all the controls rigged and working just as I planned. I had to work out a few bugs but that's normal. I only have one thing left to do and that is make a couple adjustments to the texture maps because as I have it now the texture does not rotate with the rotating panels. I need to create seperate maps for those areas.
